What we offer....

LIBRARIES
Our two libraries provide extensive lending, reference and information services for all students - the main Library at Nuns Corner and the Art Library at Westward Ho. Both offer internet access, use of the Institute network plus popular software packages and printing facilities.

PHOTOCOPYING & PRINTING SERVICES
Black-and-white photocopying. Colour copying is available in the Art Library.

SPECIAL COLLECTIONS

• Dissertations from past students of Degree and HND courses.
• Study readers to support course units.
• Material arranged by topic in resource folders for use in independent studies (Art Library).
• The Institute Video/DVD collection.
• Past examination papers.
• Extensive slide collection and videos covering all aspects of Art History.

READING ROOMS & STUDY FACILITIES
You'll find dedicated study areas, separate reading rooms for quiet study and group study rooms. Video playback facilities are also available.

JOURNALS, NEWSPAPERS & ONLINE RESOURCE
Both libraries have a wide range of periodicals and newspapers with thousands more available online. The library catalogue can also be accessed from home via The Institute’s online portal.

STUDY SUPPORT
Facility for the visually impaired is located in the library. Students who may need extra library support can contact the Librarian.

LIBRARY NETWORKS & INTER-LIBRARY LOANS
Each of our libraries share close links with other local libraries and can apply to the British Library to access its resources and journals.

THE LEARNING CURVE
Based at our Nuns Corner site, the Learning Curve is a brand new resource training centre packed with modern teaching aids including interactive whiteboards, iPods, the latest PCs and Apple-Macs, a plasma screen, Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and much more.
