Our Student Support service provides support to students with disabilities, physical difficulties, long term medical conditions, sensory impairments or specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia. It supports people with a temporary mobility or other difficulty resulting from an accident, illness or surgery. We are also committed to meeting the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act.
Students with disabilities may claim the Disabled Students’ Allowance, a Government fund administered by the Local Education Authority which can pay for specialist equipment. For advice or to make an appointment, contact the Learner Advisor for Higher Education by phoning 01472 315554 or by emailing robertsp@grimsby.ac.uk.
Please make contact as soon as possible if you are considering a place at The Grimsby Institute.
